May 15, 2010:
Hi,
My name is Philip Smith. My oldest brother and I recently visited the new church and received directions from the man mowing grass there to Green Castle down the hill from your church. We went down to the boat dock (ferry crossing) and a young man was there with his wife and children. I began to inquire about the history of the area and he started in by saying a couple of churches were arsonised. The purpose of the visit was to spread my middle brothers ashes all over KY cemeteries. My brothers name was Michael Steven Smith. Mike died in April of 2008 from ALS. Was wondering if he had any contact with any of the good folks in your church?
Anyhow..to make a long story short, I started a website @ www.green-castle-ky.weebly.com with a lot of interesting photos and script. Please take a look. I’m looking for additional information about the area. It can be in the form of photos, documents, accounts, etc.
Thanks
