Small Groups
In 2020, Mt. Zion discontinued having Sunday evening worship services. During the summer of 2022 we began having small groups once per month on Sunday evenings. Presently there are three groups with 30 to 35 total people involved. These are continually open to members, attendees, or visitors. Discipleship minister, Ryan Barrick oversees the assigning of the groups. Often these groups meet in-homes, the church building, or the park for a study. Sometimes they elect to share a meal together as well.
Children’s Church
Presently Mt. Zion offers Children’s Church during worship for those 4th grade and below. Children and teachers dismiss during the song before the sermon and complete when worship concludes. During this time they’re taught Bible lessons and enjoy singing and sometimes a snack. Children’s church meets during the school calendar year and breaks during the summer.
Bus
The church offers a bus ministry for any in the community needing transportation to worship or Bible study. The ministry has predominately been utilized by children and typically brings 20 to 35 different people into our services.
Prayer Warriors
For the size of Mt. Zion, it ministers to a great number of children in the community. One way we’re ministering to them is through prayer. Prayer warriors are assigned a young person over a period of time and asked to pray over them daily. Scripture prayer guides have been offered in the past as well as encouragement and other information.
Prime Timers
Several times a year, members and guests are invited to meet up at a highly reviewed restaurant on a Saturday for a meal and fellowship. The group has even participated in outgoings such as The General Jackson, the Grand Ole Opry, and other concerts.
